#4 Francois Medori & #121 Siiri Salonen The Champion of "PATTAYA GRAND PRIX 2024”

Pattaya, Thailand – December 15, 2024

Pattaya City and Chonburi Province welcomed over 3,000 jet ski fans and athletes from all corners of the world, including Asia, Europe, America, Africa, and Oceania, to the "WGP#1 Waterjet World Cup 2024" Championship Round, from 11-15 December 2024 in Pattaya, Thailand. #4 Francois Medor and #121 Siiri Salonen announced their victory at the "Pattaya Grand Prix 2024".

PRO-AM ENDURANCE OPEN is the tournament’s most competitive category, with 34 riders from 15 countries. #8 Jean-Bruno Pastorello from France, a three-time World Cup champion and five-time World Series champion, was the favorite to claim the title in this category.

The title of "King of Endurance" still belongs to #8 Jean-Bruno Pastorello, who gave an incredible performance by going full throttle from the very start. He took the lead and maintained it throughout, crossing the finish line in first place in Moto 1. His victory sparked an overwhelming cheer from the French jet ski fans. An American rider, #22 Anthony Radetic followed in 2nd.
#8 Jean-Bruno Pastorello was still hungry for victory and he was determined to keep his winning streak in this class. He took the lead in the holeshot. Unfortunately, midway through the race, a problem occurred with his craft and allowed #86 Jun Ikoma, a Japanese rider, moved up to lead and won the final moto. This victory sparked an overwhelming cheer from Japanese jet ski fans throughout the grandstand. #4 Francois Medori, a French rider, showed his strength form and came in 2nd.

With overall scores, #4 Francois Medori, stood on the podium as the winner of the “WGP#1 Waterjet World Cup 2024”- Pattaya Grand Prix in PRO-AM ENDURANCE OPEN. Two Thai riders, #T951 Tapatarawat Joesonnusont and #T79 Permphon Teerapatpanich won 2nd and 3rd. #8 Jean-Bruno Pastorello won a double title in the “WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2024” and “Siam Watercraft - WGP#1 Waterjet Asian Championships 2024”

PRO-AM WOMEN SKI MODIFIED featured 10 top-class riders from 6 countries in Pattaya Grand Prix 2024, including, #23 River Varner & #639 Sophie Francis from USA and #27 Mami Kaneko from Japan.
The two Japanese riders performed brilliantly. #27 Mami Kaneko rode confidently, taking the first 60 points in Moto 1. While #69 Rokka Kamata took the holeshot and cruised to first place in Moto 2. #121 Siiri Salonen followed in second in both motos.

#639 Sophie Francis took the lead from the holeshot to finish first in Moto 3. #69 Rokka Kamata followed in second.

In the Final Moto, the competition came down to three riders with a chance to claim the championship in this category: #639 Sophie Francis, #121 Siiri Salonen, and #69 Rokka Kamata. After the holeshot, it was #23 River Varner who performed better, soaring across the finish line in first place, with #121 Siiri Salonen followed closely in second.

With overall scores, #121 Siiri Salonen stood on the podium as the winner of the “WGP#1 Waterjet World Cup 2024”- Pattaya Grand Prix in PRO-AM WOMEN SKI MODIFIED. #639 Sophie Francis won the “WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2024” and #69 Rokka Kamata won the “Siam Watercraft - WGP#1 Waterjet Asian Championships 2024”
