The Champion of “THAILAND GRAND PRIX 2023”
#111 Simon Belcher.

The Waterjet World Championship Tournament, "WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2023", Final Round, "WGP#1 Waterjet World Cup 2023”, between 13-17 December 2023, at Pattaya City, Thailand, has already ended.

In PRO Sport GP, we congratulated #111 Simon Belcher who won the Double Championship of “Thailand GRAND PRIX 2023” and “WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2023”. This marks a new chapter in the history of the world jet ski that he created. He proved his stamina and skill by grabbing the fourth trophy of World Series Champions at all the 4 rounds in the same year.

In the PRO Sport GP, the tournament’s favorites competing for the championship included #52 Supak Settura, a Thai rider, former 7 times champion of the "WGP#1 Waterjet World Cup" in this class, #111 Simon Belcher and #158 James Bushell, two riders from Great Britain who were vying for the championship of "WGP#1 Waterjet World Series" this year. Other rising stars were from Thailand like #T8 Keeratikorn Phiwngam, #T9 Teerapat Meechai, #T20 Tanapat Thipprapai, and #T951 Tapatarawat Joensonnusont.

In Moto 1, the game was so unpredictable. After starting #T20 Tanapat Thipprapai took the lead, while #111 Simon Belcher was in 3rd place. When halfway through, #T20 Tanapat Thipprapai made a mistake and fell into the water, giving a chance for #111 Simon Belcher to overtake #T8 Keeratikorn Phiwngam with energy and speed until he crossed the finish line in 1st place. 2nd and 3rd place went to #52 Supak Settura and #T8 Keeratikorn Phiwngam.

In Moto 2, #T951 Tapatarawat Joensonnusont soared to the lead from the start. But in the last lap, he was narrowly cut off by #T8 Keeratikorn Phiwngam, who crossed the finish line first to win this moto. #111 Simon Belcher came in 3rd.

In Moto 3, after taking off #T9 Teerapat Meechai drew overwhelming cheers from local Thai fans when soaring to the finish line first in this moto. #111 Simon Belcher and #T20 Tanapat Thipprapai came in 2nd and 3rd place.

In the Final Moto, the game was sizzling hot when #T951 Tapatarawat Joensonnusont was leading after the start. But after the 2nd lap, #T9 Teerapat Meechai took the lead, drove with full confidence, and was the first to cross the finish line. Meanwhile #111 Simon Belcher had a bad start, but his determination to win the championship made him rise to 2nd place in this moto.

When it came to the final scores of PRO SPORT GP, rider from Great Britain, #111 Simon Belcher won the double championship of "WGP#1 Waterjet World Cup 2023" and "WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2023” with 221 points. Hailed as Fourth Champion, this is his 4th victory in a row of this year's World Series.
